Public Involvement Meeting Notice <br /> Improvements to Yellow Lake Road at the Yellow River Bridge <br /> Planned improvements for Yellow Lake Road in the Town of Union,Burnett County,will be discussed at a public <br /> involvement meeting on Friday,April 30, 2021. This is the second public meeting for the project to gather input. <br /> The meeting will begin with a presentation starting at 4:00 PM at the Burnett County Highway Department, 8150 <br /> State Road 70, Siren, WI 54872. Entrance to the meeting will be at the north end of the facility. Social distancing <br /> will be required. All attendees will be required to wear a face mask/covering. Materials presented at the meeting can <br /> also be requested by contacting the Burnett County Highway Department. After the presentation, an open house <br /> format will continue until 6:00 PM. <br /> The Yellow Lake Road project involves improvements to the roadway and bridge at the crossing of the Yellow River <br /> approximately 0.5 miles north of County Road FF. The proposed improvement will include the removal of the <br /> existing bridge and construction of a new single-span bridge. During construction of the project,the bridge will be <br /> closed for vehicles and the channel will be closed for watercraft. Construction is anticipated to take approximately 2 <br /> Y2 months during 2022. The earliest construction could begin is August 15`due to in-stream work restrictions <br /> associated with fish species in the area. The exact timeframe for construction is yet to be determined. <br /> Additional right-of-way will be needed to build the project. The project will involve impacts to county-owned park <br /> lands south of the bridge. This park falls under the FHWA's Section 4(f)federal regulations governing impacts to <br /> park lands.
