Burnett County Land and Water Conservation Department
7410 County Road K, #109
Siren, WI 54872
Telephone#(715)349-2186
Fax #(715) 349-2102
December 14, 2005
John and Kasey Childs
3799 S. Penninsula Road
Webster, WI 54893
Dear John and Kasey:
Burnett County ordinance requires shoreline buffer restoration as a condition of the land use permit
for construction of the fire pit patio at your home. An agreement that specifies your shoreline will
be restored and maintained according to the enclosed restoration plan must be signed, notarized, and
registered in order to receive your land use permit. Plantings must be completed by November 30,
2005. The Burnett County Register of Deed's address is the same as above, except that the room is
#140. The telephone number is 715-349-2183. There is an $11 fee to register a one-page
agreement and a $2 fee for each additional page.
Once the restoration is complete, your property would be eligible to enroll in the Shoreline
Incentives Program. A brochure is enclosed with more information.
If you have concerns or questions about the restoration requirements, please call me at 715-268-
9992 or Dave Ferris at 715-349-2186.
Sincerely,
Cheryl Clemens
Shoreline Restoration Consultant
cc: Dave Ferris, County Conservationist
Jim Flanigan, Zoning Administrator
