Accumulation of solids on the float may interfere with switch activation. <br /> * The water meter needs to be cleaned of sediment at least once a year to assure accurate water meter readings. <br /> Water meter cleaning may be required more often for poorly developed wells. Placement of a water filter altead of <br /> the water meter will reduce required maintenance. <br /> * All manholes cover padlocks should be oiled or greased periodically to ensure free movement of lock <br /> components. <br /> " <br /> The locking device should be inspected after each tank servicing to prevent unauthorized entry. <br />
