BURNETT COUNTY ZONING ADMINISTRATION <br /> BURNETT COUNTY GOVERNMENT CENTER <br /> 7410 COUNTY ROAD K,#102 PHONE(715)349-2138 <br /> SIREN,WISCONSIN 54872 <br /> April 1, 2011 <br /> Valerie and Michael Nazzal <br /> 11369 Swallow Circle NW <br /> Coon Rapids,MN 55433 <br /> RE: Land Use Permit Application for House on Dubois Lake <br /> Dear Mr.and Mrs.Nazzal; <br /> On March 31,2011, in response to your Land Use Permit application, I conducted an on- <br /> site inspection of your property on Dubois Lake, located on Pepin Road, in Gov. Lot 5, <br /> Section 34,T40N R14W,Town of Scott. I was unable to ascertain the exact location of <br /> the proposed house,due to either an incomplete or disturbed stakeout of the budding. <br /> Orange pin flags on the site to not conform to the dimensions of the proposed house. It <br /> appears that the site of the proposed house may be about 90 feet from the Ordinary High <br /> Water Mark of Dubois Lake,with the deck nominally 8 feet closer. However,we will <br /> need to confirm the setback prior to the issuance of the Land Use Permit. Please stake <br /> both the perimeter of the house, and the deck, so that we may confirm the setback from <br /> the point of the structure nearest to the OHWM, as well as the side lot line. <br /> There is one other issue which also is appropriate to consider in regard to your project: <br /> • At present,there has not been a Sanitary Permit for a Private On-site Wastewater <br /> Treatment System issued to serve the proposed house,only a privy is present. I <br /> recently had the opportunity to discuss this issue with the building inspector for <br /> the Town of Scott, Dennis Quinn.While a house may be constructed that is <br /> served only by a privy,no plumbing(not even the rough-in for future plumbing <br /> installation)may be installed in the structure in the absence of a Sanitary Permit <br /> for the installation of a POWTS. If it is your intention to have plumbing in the <br /> house,you will need to have a Sanitary Permit for a POWTS drawn on your <br /> behalf by a Wisconsin licensed plumber.
