Stats. <br /> • Prior to construction of the dispersal area, check the moisture content of the soil to a depth of 8 <br /> inches. Proper soil moisture content can be determined by rolling a soil sample between the hands. If <br /> it rolls into a 1/4- inch wire, the site is too wet to prepare. If it crumbles, site preparation can proceed. <br /> If the site is too wet to prepare, do not proceed until it dries. <br /> • Inspection of the private sewage system installation is required. Arrangements for inspection shall be <br /> made with the designated county official in accordance with the provisions of Sec. 145.20(2)(d), Wis. <br /> Stats. <br /> • A state approved effluent filter is required. Maintenance information must be given to the owner of the <br /> tank explaining that periodic cleaning of the filter is required. <br />
