BURNETT COUNTY ZONING ADMINISTRATION <br /> BURNETT COUNTY GOVERNMENT CENTER <br /> 7410 County Road K,#102 Phone(715)349-2138 <br /> Siren,Wisconsin 54872 <br /> June 14, 2000 <br /> Tice Construction <br /> 2397 County Road A <br /> Spooner, WI 54801 <br /> To whom it may concern: <br /> It has been brought to our attention that you are placing signs on your building sites for <br /> advertising purposes. <br /> As you probably know, Burnett County does have a new sign ordinance regulating the <br /> placement, sizes and duration of these sign types defined as temporary. <br /> I am enclosing a copy of the ordinance for you to review. Please review the highlighted <br /> portions concerning the placement of temporary signs. <br /> Presently you have two signs that we are aware of that do not meet the criteria of a <br /> temporary sign. One is located in the Town of Swiss south of the Yellow River Bridge. <br /> This sign exceed the square foot requirement of 8 square feet for a residential, as well as <br /> the height requirement of 5 feet. Also, in question is that the sign must be located off <br /> from the highway right-of-way. <br /> The other sign is in Jackson Township located near Pine Lake on County Road A. This <br /> sign appears to be in road right-of-way and should be verified as to its square footage. <br /> These temporary signs also have a maximum period of 45 days for these sites. <br /> Please make the necessary changes in the sign square footage, sign height and location so <br /> that they will comply with this ordinance. <br /> If you should have any further questions, please contact our office. <br /> Sincerely, <br /> Keith E.
