The following are special uses permitted when the location of the use has been approved and a conditional <br /> permit has been granted by the land use and information committee after a public hearing. Such approval shall be <br /> consistent with the general purposes and intent of this chapter and shall be based upon such evidence as may be <br /> presented at such public hearing. The land use and information committee, in passing upon applications for these <br /> conditional use permits, shall consider the following factors: <br /> (1) The statement of purposes of this chapter and the A district. <br /> (2) The need of the proposed use for a location in an agricultural area. <br /> (3) The availability of alternative locations. <br /> (4) Compatibility with existing or permitted uses on adjacent lands. <br /> (5) The productivity of the lands involved. <br /> (6) The location of the proposed use so as to reduce to a minimum the amount of productive <br /> agricultural land converted. <br /> (7) The need for public services created by the proposed use. <br /> (8) The availability of adequate public services and the ability of affected local units of government to <br /> provide them without an unreasonable burden. <br /> (9) The effect of the proposed use on water or air pollution, soil erosion and rare or irreplaceable <br /> natural resources. <br /> (Res. No. 2018-16, 6-5-2018) <br /> Sec. 30-118. - Conditional permits. <br /> The following are the uses authorized by conditional permit in the A agricultural district: <br /> (1) Single-family dwellings, in addition to permitted residences in subsection 30-116(1), providing one or <br /> more of the occupants is a parent or child of the operator of the farm, or when the dwelling is to be <br /> the retirement home of the present farm operator. <br /> (2) Canneries. <br /> (3) Cheese factories. <br /> (4) Condenseries. <br /> (5) Commercial feedlots and buildings housing 250 or more animals units. <br /> (6) Creameries. <br /> (7) Facilities used for the centralized bulk collection, storage and distribution of agricultural products to <br /> wholesale and retail markets. <br /> (8) Facilities used to provide veterinarian services for livestock. <br /> (9) Facilities used in processing of agricultural products. <br /> (10) Fur farms when located not less than 1,000 feet from any residential building other than that of the <br />
