I am hoping I can get your perspective, as I work on figuring out the County's role
and responsibility going forward.
My understanding is that there is a public water access easement in Trade Lake, and on a portion of that easement,
there is a portion of a dumpster, and the garbage company received a variance to fence in the dumpster, including the
portion that lies within the portion of the easement, and that the DNR objects to this variance. Is that a correct, albeit
simplified, understanding?
I would appreciate learning the DNR's perspective on the situation, as well as any statutes or case law you may be
relying on.
Thank you,
Stephanie
Stephanie Thomas-Schmidt
Corporation Counsel
Burnett County
7410 County Rd K,#121
Siren, WI 54872
715-349-2168
2
