No. 2018-16, 6-5-2018) <br /> 8 Secs. 30-544-30-566. -Reserved. <br /> 9 ARTICLE VI. -TELECOMMUNICATIONS FACILITIES <br /> 10 Sec. 30-567. -Purpose. <br /> 11 The purpose of this article is to regulate by zoning permits (1) the siting and construction of any new <br /> 12 mobile service support structure and facilities; (2) with regard to a class 1 collocation, the substantial <br /> 13 modification of an existing support structure and mobile service facilities; and (3) with regard to a class 2 <br /> 14 collocation, collocation on an existing support structure which does not require the substantial modification <br /> 15 of an existing support structure and mobile service facilities. <br /> 16 (Res. No. 2018-16, 6-5-2018) <br /> 17 Sec. 30-568.-Exemptions. <br /> 18 (a) Exempt from review under this article will be television antennas, satellite dishes one meter (or 39 <br /> 19 inches) in diameter or less, satellite dishes used commercially and three meters in diameter or less, <br /> 20 receive only antennas, amateur radio facilities, and mobile services providing public information <br /> 21 coverage of news events or of a temporary or emergency nature. None of these items can exceed 75 <br /> 22 feet in height, without obtaining proper permits and approvals. <br /> 23 (b) Exempt from the permitting requirements of this article will be satellite dishes more than one meter in <br /> 24 diameter, ground-mounted antennas not exceeding 75 feet in height, building-mounted antennas not <br /> 25 exceeding 25 feet above the highest part of the building to which they are attached (also can't exceed <br /> 26 75 feet in total height as measured from the lowest building grade to the highest portion of the antenna), <br /> 27 utility pole-mounted antennas not exceeding 75 feet in height in total height as measured from the <br /> 28 lowest grade to the highest portion of the antenna. <br /> 29 (c) Exempt structures under this article are still subject to all other applicable provisions of the Land <br /> 30 Use/Zoning Ordinance such as setbacks. <br /> 31 (Res.
