MINUTES Of THE <br /> BURNETT COUNTY LAND USE/SURVEYOR/SOLID WASTE COMMITTEE <br /> BURNETT COUNTY GOVERNMENT CENTER <br /> DECEMBER 2, 1986 - 1:00 p.m. <br /> The regular monthly meeting of the Burnett County Land Use/Surveyor/Solid <br /> Waste Committee was held in the Burnett County Government Center, Tuesday, <br /> December 2, 1986 at 1:00 p.m. <br /> MEMBERS PRESENT: Clare Melin, Adolph Mattson, Bob McNeil, Lee Rigby and <br /> Joyce Benson <br /> MEMBERS ABSENT: None <br /> OTHERS PRESENT: James Flanigan, Gerald Wagner and Phil Stromberg <br /> Hearing was held as required on the following conditional permit application: <br /> James Flanigan read the Notice as published in the Sentinel. <br /> #775 - William and Robyn Talbert have made application for the permanent <br /> installation of a mobile home in the A-2 District in the Northwest Quarter <br /> of the Northeast Quarter, Section 23, T37N R14W, Town of Roosevelt. <br /> Appearance: None <br /> Motion by Joyce Benson, second by Lee Rigby to table application #775 <br /> until later in the meeting. Motion carried. <br /> SURVEYOR'S MEETING <br /> Gerald Wagner appeared and gave his report, a copy of which is on file <br /> with these minutes. Motion by Joyce Benson, second by Lee Rigby to <br /> approve the surveyor's invoices in the amount of $7,502.00. After payment <br /> of this voucher, the surveyor's account will have a balance of $10,637.05. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Mr. Wagner received a check from the Village of Grantsburg for $36.00 for <br /> work he had done. He was inquiring as to what to do with it. It was <br /> suggested to Mr. Wagner that he should give it to the County Treasurer's <br /> Office for deposit into the County Surveyor's account. <br /> Mr. Wagner had the Committee review a CSM he did for Vivian Peterson. <br /> They compared it with the original map, which was done by Fred Everett <br /> in 1956. Mrs. Peterson had sold one lot and wanted the rest of her <br /> property surveyed. Motion by Lee Rigby, second by Bob McNeil to approve <br /> the existing CSM as is. Motion carried. <br /> OTHER BUSINESS <br /> Mr. Phil Stromberg, from the DNR, gave a report to the Committee on <br /> Fire Prone Property. Mr. Stromberg was explaining to the Committee <br /> the big problem Burnett County faces with multiple structure forest fires, <br /> and how the DNR is not equipped or trained to handle these fires alone. <br /> He stated that the DNR is responsible for any building involved in a <br /> forest fire. <br /> Mr. Stromberg showed slides and charts explaining the serious problem <br /> of forest fires. <br />
