Taylor, Edwin - DSPS _
From: Mike and Jean Waltzing <whitetailwilderness@hotmail.com>
Sent: Wednesday,October 04, 2017 9:10 AM
To: Taylor, Edwin -DSPS
Attachments: May'17 log book.pdf;June'17 Log book.pdf;July'17 Log book.pdf;August'17 Log
book.pdf;September '17 Log book.pdf;A+ Pump &inspection 2016.pdf;A+ Pump &
inspection 2017.pdf; Ross Tollander 2016.pdf
Hi Ed, t
I just wanted to recap our telephone conversation from last week. I had explained to you that
on Thursday, September 28, 2017, Dale and Shane from Burnett County Zoning were on
property and had questioned me regarding a few items that we had discussed back in
November 2016.. .
As you recall, -the Was between Dale Beers .from Zoning, Ross Tollander of Ross
Tollander Septic, you and me. The meeting was concerning my septic systems on the property,
at the tavern/reurantand the campground dump station. Everyone involved in the meeting
was present wher4,youjw.pected our septic systems at the time of the meeting and stated that
the systems-wire ih good condition and working properly and that we did not need to make
any changes. We have nbt made any changes to the tavern/restaurant and do not plan to
make changes. so the system should be sufficient for years to come. Also, Ross had inspected
them the me h previous and -' had a letter from Ted Sperling from A+ Sanitation, who
pumps the•tatrks ev.EEygeary also,i_nspects the system.
applied and received a variance for the deck being over the part of the septic system at the
;,tavern, whi ypu helped'me with and-was another of the items discussed at our meeting.
Another iterrr-that w4,s-discussed ,during this meeting was the dump station, as you had
recommended, I have logged all the camper tanks pumped in to the dump station and I have !
attached the log to this email.
We have our °septic tanks.pumped annually in the fall, even though it is not required yearly.
We have done this annually ever since we opened 23 years ago. Our tanks are scheduled to be
inspected and pumped this week and that has been done. I am sending you verification that
the tanks have been inspected and have been pumped.
The Burnett County Zoning office has requested a letter of verification from your office
1
regarding the items that were discussed last year (even though Dale Beers was present during
the entire meeting), such as, no need to change or fix anything on the septic systems as they j
are working properly, as we discussed last year in November 2016 and your analysis on the
dump station logs that I am providing to you. If you could send me a letter regarding this, I can
forward it on to the zoning department and have a copy for my records. I am attaching copies
1
