Q`, BURNETT COUNTY <br /> LAND SERVICES DEPARTMENT <br /> 7410 County Road K,#120 <br /> ?� Siren,WI 54872 <br /> Telephone: (715)349-2109 <br /> �ounRv landservices(uburnettcountMi <br /> www.bumettcountMi.gov <br /> FINAL NOTICE OF VIOLATION <br /> January 17, 2025 <br /> Robert Austin <br /> 6023 France Ave S <br /> Edina, MN 55410-2751 <br /> Dear Property Owner, <br /> We are writing to notify you of a violation for the short-term rental of your property at 9587 Dunham Lake Dr. in Siren, <br /> WI. <br /> Under Section 30-455 of the Burnett County Code of Ordinances "Any person who maintains, manages, or operates a <br /> short-term rental, as defined in Wis.Stats. 66.0615(1)(dk),for more than ten nights each year shall obtain a Short- <br /> Term Rental License from the county." <br /> This requires you to obtain a county license number, by filling out the attached Short-Term Rental application and <br /> turning it in to Burnett County Land Services. <br /> You will also need a state license number for the Short-Term Rental License through the Department of Agriculture, <br /> Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP). Under chapter 97.605 of DATCP(1)(a) "No person may conduct,maintain, <br /> manage or operate a hotel, tourist rooming house, vending machine commissary or vending machine if the person has <br /> not been issued an annual license by the department or by a local health department that is granted agent status <br /> under s. 97.615(2)." <br /> DATCP can be contacted at 608-224-4923 or datcpdfslicensing@wisconsin.gov <br /> Additionally,we have no record of a sanitary system.A sewer evaluation will need to be done by a WI Licensed Plumber <br /> to determine the size of your sanitary system, which also determines the number of renters you can accommodate. <br /> I have included a license application that you must submit by 3/1/2025 if you intend to continue renting the property on <br /> a short-term basis. <br /> If you have questions, feel free to contact our department.
