It would appear that a pipe is discharging something into Devils Lake, so
much so that the lake ice is melting in the area of the discharge.
I would like to meet you at the site sometime to verify the source of the discharge. Please call
to set-up an appointment.
Office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30am-4:30pm.
Sincerely,
Jason Towne
Burnett County Zoning Administrator
I spoke to Steve on 3/28/2025 @ 9:35 am, 920-246-3415. He states it is discharge from an
open loop geothermal system, so it is clean well water that is being discharged. I will reach out
to the DNR to see if this is allowed. JT
Per email from Sheri Snowbank @ DNR on 3/28/2025 at 2:02 PM this item is allowed. JT
