This property is within the boundary of the <br /> St. Croix National Scenic Riverway(Riverway) and identified by the Riverway as tract SACN 38- <br /> 110I. The National Park Service (NPS) owns a "Scenic Easement" interest, as described in <br /> Warranty Deed Document #190801, Volume 291, Page 315 recorded in the Office of County <br /> Recorder, Burnett County, Wisconsin. This legal document outlines land use restrictions and <br /> requires approval by the NPS on specific activities so that Riverway scenic resources located on <br /> your property are preserved and protected. <br /> According to the tree removal plan provided to this office on June 9, you propose to remove <br /> approximately 15 trees to accommodate access into the property from Whitetail Drive. All other <br /> trees and vegetation on the property will be maintained.Based on the submitted plans,this proposal <br /> for tree removal is permissible under the terms of the scenic easement.Please note that RV's/travel <br /> trailers may be used provided the use is temporary and personal. The land shall not be used for any <br /> group/commercial recreation or leisure activities. Also, the travel trailer shall not be hooked to <br /> utilities, water, septic or otherwise used with the intent of being a permanent form of residence. <br /> Our approval in no way evaluates the merits of the project in relation to local, county, or state <br /> regulations, and thus does not preclude or supersede any actions by those units of government. <br /> Therefore,you must comply with any additional land use controls or requirements of the Town of <br /> Swiss, Burnett County, and the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources to whom a copy of <br /> this letter will be sent. <br /> If you have any questions,or if the submitted plan changes,please contact me at 715-483-2261 or <br /> via email at laura_hojem@nps.gov.
