PHONE(715)349-2109 <br /> Notice of Zoning Violation <br /> May 12, 2025 <br /> Victoria Johnson <br /> 370 Kasota Sunrise Ln <br /> Saint Peter, MN 56082 <br /> 1 am writing to notify you that Burnett County regulates the use of campers in the shoreland areas of the county and your <br /> parcel with address:30435 Minerva Rd, Danbury is in the shoreland area. <br /> Per section 45-386(b)of the Burnett County Code of Ordinance:No camping unit shall be located within the shoreland <br /> areas of the county except in a permitted federal, state, town and county camp, a private campground or planned unit <br /> development, except that a(meaning one)camping unit may be placed on a private lot for not more than 30 days in any <br /> one calendar year without a land use permit for a private camping unit or a conditional permit as per article Vlll of this <br /> chapter. <br /> There are two options for a camper permit(meaning one camper—multiple campers are not allowed): <br /> 1- Six month camper land use permit: Requires the following: <br /> a. Code compliant sanitary system and camper hooked up to it. <br /> b. Need a land use permit each year—fee is$100 <br /> c. Camper needs to meet all setbacks. <br /> d. Only good for 6 months. Most people get this in the spring and then it lasts until the fall. Can only get <br /> one permit per year. The other six months the camper must be off the property or stored properly. <br /> 2- Three year camper permit: Requires the following: <br /> a. Code compliant sanitary system and camper hooked up to it. <br /> b. Camper needs to meet all setbacks. <br /> c. This permit is$300, but good for up to 3 years. It is only good for 3 years since the county wants people <br /> to build structures,and not do perpetual camping. This allows the camper to sit on the parcel all year <br /> around, no storage/removal requirement like the 6 month permit. If you want to continue using the <br /> camper after the 3 years,then you would need to apply for a Conditional Use Permit(CUP)at that time. <br /> The campers need to be removed from the property by 7/1/2025 or a permit obtained for one of them by that time.
