Sep 2111 09:09p 651-762-8521 p.2
Quinn Property at 1212 Roberts Road,Scott Township,Burnett County,WI
Shane Quinn—612-600-6316
Included with this informational letter are two site pians. One is the existing layout of the land. The
second is the proposed plan.I met with Jim Flanigan at the above address and discussed at length the
ideas endways to pnavent erosion and topreserve the integrity of the natural beauty of the area.
May years ago the previous property owners installed retaining walls of various hgts and materials.
Some were constructed of poured concrete, which in places is crumbling apart, others are of ander
block, and yet others are of stone/rock Indigenous to the area.It is our goal to remove the material
(poured concrete and cinder blocks)that are not natural to the area,at the same time refurbish the
natural stone/rock walls to enhance the natural beauty of the area and to prevent additional soil erosion
that is already occurring in several areas, which is exposing tree roots, etc. The stone/rock walls that
exist within the SO' high water mark will remain in their current position, but will be refurbished and
rebuilt. Previously haphazardly placed poured concrete slabs and cinder block will be removed in areas
to create and more natural look to the land. Beyond the 50'high water mark some excavation will occur
and new stone/rock walls will be installed to correct erosion issues and allow a little bit of open space.
Drain the will also be installed in key areas to aid the fight against erosion. It should also be mentioned
that there is an existing approx 4'wide stepping stone walkway that will be attempted to be preserved
and remain. The remaining areas will be of grass and plant life common to the area. No additional hard
surfaces will be installed. In fact, hard surfaces will be reduced with the removal of some concrete slab
material.
As you look at differences between the two plaits you will notice that some wood steps near the house
will also be removed.
The stone/rock walls will be installed by a professional landscaper with the knowledge, experience, and
pre with regard to slope and location to prevent erosion and preserve the land.
All materials used will be natural and not fabricated.
If you have any further questions of concerns please call me at the above phone number.
We would like to start this project yet this fall.
Thank you In advance for your time and consideration,
A ' &—.
Shane Quinn
