I reviewed the actual Burnett County <br /> Ordinances you cited relevant to our proposed project.I conclude that our plans clearly comply with <br /> the ordinances. The definition section is especially helpful. Please consider the following. <br /> Section 4.2(5)(b) states, in part: <br /> A single(one per parcel)bunkhouse/temporary guest quarters will be permitted by Land Use <br /> Permit where: <br /> (1)The bunkhouse/temporary guest quarters shall be located within or as part of an <br /> accessary structure. <br /> (2) The bunkhouse/temporary guest quarters shat not exceed 50% of the square <br /> footage of the accessory structure with a maximum of 499 square-foot floor area. The 50% <br /> square footage limitations will not apply when loft or attic truss type area is being used: <br /> however,the area shall not exceed 499 square feet.(emphosis added) <br /> We agree that the bunkhouse can not exceed 499 square feet.As we are not using the"loft or attic" <br /> truss system,the second sentence in Section 4.2(5)(b)does not apply.Rather,the question under the <br /> ordinance is simply how"50%of the square footage of the accessory structure" is calculated. <br /> Under your preliminary interpretation,you suggested that in calculating the allowable si7e of the <br /> bunkhouse,the bunkhouse was not to be considered part of the"accessory structure". By way of <br /> example, you indicated that a 1000 square foot garage could have 499 square feet of bunkhouse <br /> above it.
