BURNETT COUNTY ZONING ADMINISTRATION <br /> BURNETT COUNTY GOVERNMENT CENTER <br /> 7410 COUNTY ROAD K,#102 PHONE(715)349-2138 <br /> SIREN,WISCONSIN 54872 <br /> June 12, 2007 <br /> David Diebel <br /> 10933 Pawnee Ave N <br /> Stillwater,MN 55082 <br /> Dear Mr. Diebel: <br /> I received your Land Use permit application for a porch addition to your cabin and a garage at 6290 Davis <br /> Drive. <br /> In reviewing the application,an onsite inspection was done. This onsite found your cabin was less than 75 feet <br /> to the ordinary high water mark of the river. Because the setback is less than 75 feet, Section 4.4(9b) of our <br /> shoreline ordinance pertains. This section has mitigation requirements of shoreline vegetative buffer restoration <br /> and removal of other accessory structures that do not meet the ordinary high water mark setback(see page 13 of <br /> the enclosed Burnett County Shoreline Development Guide). <br /> Application review also found the cabin site of your lot to be shown in floodplain. This would require the <br /> building location elevation to be provided by a Wisconsin Licensed Surveyor or engineer. All additions would <br /> need to be flood-proofed by elevating 2 feet above the regional flood elevation. <br /> Additional information will also be required for the sanitary system. Review of our records could find no <br /> information on the system. The enclosed private sewer system evaluation will need to be completed by a <br /> Wisconsin Licensed Soil Tester/Master Plumber. <br /> Lot 3 of Certified Survey Map#1253 Vol. 6 Pg. 160 appears to show your cabin at less than 10 feet to the side <br /> lot line. The required setback to a side lot line is 10 feet. Please have the setback checked when the surveyor is <br /> at your property. <br /> With the above additional information provided,we can complete the application review.
