I� <br /> Maintenance <br /> 1. The effluent filter should be cleaned every time the septic tank is <br /> =_er.,!ced. <br /> 2. Or-— the cutlet access opening to inspect the tank and filter. <br /> 3. P,;mp the septic tank completely, making sure to remove the slodae <br /> lay r on the bottom of the tank and rot just the scum and effluent. <br /> 4. Once the effluent level has been lowered below the invert of the <br /> outlet pipe, firmly pull up on the filter handle to dislodge the <br /> ,,,a- cartridge 'rom the case. <br /> 5. Slide the cartridge up and out of the case for cleaning, <br /> 6, if a VRS swatch connected to an alarm is present, the switch <br /> should be removed by turning counterclockwise 90o and cleaned <br /> with water only: <br /> 7. While holding the cartndge on its side (large flat surface facing <br /> do,,n) over the access opening, rinse off the cartridge with Hater <br /> only, making sure all septage material is rinsed back into the tank. <br /> B. If VfiS switch is utilized, rep'ace by inserting into filter and <br /> turning clockwise 900. <br /> 9.
