Burnett County Land and Water Conservation Department
7410 County Road K,#109
Siren,WI 54872
Telephone#(715)349-2186
Fax#(715)349-2102
February 14, 2003
Kevin and Margaret Fink d L
612 Turnberry Ct.
Northfield, MN 55057
Kevin and Mar aret:
Dear g
The zoning office requires a shoreline buffer restoration as a condition of the land use
permit for the addition to your cabin. An agreement that specifies your shoreline will be
restored and maintained according to this restoration plan is also required. The agreement
must be signed, notarized, and registered in order to receive the land use permit.
Plantings must be completed by June 30, 2004. The Burnett County Register of Deed's
address is the same as above, except that the room is #140. The telephone number is
715-349-2183. There is a $13 fee to register a two-page agreement.
Because of the snow cover, it was not possible to locate the ordinary high water mark.
This location is important because it is where the buffer zone begins near the water's
edge. It was also not possible to see the groundcover vegetation. I will follow-up with a
visit in the spring and make modifications to the planting plan if necessary. This letter
will serve to better acquaint you with the restoration requirements, so you have enough
information to sign the agreement if desired.
If you have concerns or questions about the restoration requirements, please call me at
715-268-4666 or Dave Ferris at 715-349-2186.
Sincerely,
Cheryl Bursik
Shoreline Restoration Consultant
cc: Dave Ferris, County Conservationist
