We are using whole, live cut trees(red oak and red and white pine),harvested tar from
the immediate buffer zone of the lake and placing them as "tree drops" along shore and within the littoral zone to create
fish habitat. These trees will come from a large block of nearby County Forest land. Three large anchor trees, placed
generally perpendicular to the shoreline, will each be cabled to a live tree on shore, using 5/8 inch stainless steel cables
and clamps. These anchor trees will have two or three smaller trees placed perpendicular to them and cabled to the
anchor trees using stainless steel cables and clamps. Installation should begin February of 2014,as weather and ice
conditions allow. 1-here will be no excavating or dredging of any kind.
