Table <br /> 83.43-1 requires an exterior subsurface treatment tank to be a minimum of 5' from any building and a <br /> dispersal component to be a minimum of 15' from the building. <br /> The variance requested is to allow the construction of an attached garage that will have a 2' setback for <br /> the septic tank and 7.5' setback for the dispersal cell. <br /> The intent of the code section petitioned is to protect the structure in the event of component failure. <br /> Reviewer's Comments: <br /> 1. In reviewing the petition,it Was noted that the request is similar to other petitions accepted by this department. <br /> 2. Based on the precedent established by the previous petitions,this petition for variance is being processed as <br /> permitted by Wisconsin Statute s. 101.02(6)(g),and Comm 3. <br /> Departmental Action: CONDITIONAL APPROVAL <br /> Conditions of Approval: <br /> • All of the petitioner's statements included on the variance application form,any other documents'submitted to <br /> the Department,and all conditions of approval,if any,listed below shall be carried out. This variance is specific <br /> to the subject petition and cannot be used for any additional modifications. <br /> • Care must be taken not to disturb the septic tank and the distribution cell during construction. The tank and <br /> distribution cell shall be marked with some sort of barrier to prevent traffic damage. <br />
