BURNETT COUNTY ZONING ADMINISTRATION <br /> BURNETT COUNTY GOVERNMENT CENTER <br /> 7410 COUNTY ROAD K,#102 PHONE(715)349-2138 <br /> SIREN,WISCONSIN 54872 <br /> March 29,2006 <br /> John and Kathryn Bauer <br /> 8564 Inwood Ave. South <br /> Cottage Grove,MN 55016 <br /> RE: Setbacks for proposed house and garage at 3891 Co.Hwy A <br /> Dear John and Kathy; <br /> I had a brief discussion with the Burnett County Highway Commissioner regarding the nominal 12 foot <br /> discrepancy between the lot dimensions and the theoretical right of way location based on the centerline at <br /> your property at 3891 County Highway A, in the Town of Jackson,Burnett County,Wisconsin. The <br /> County did reconstruct the roadbed and relocated the centerline about 10 feet Northwesterly from the old <br /> alignment,but did not relocate the right of way,the result being that the centerline of the traveled portion of <br /> the road is not catered in the right of way. For the purpose of your variance request,you should indicate <br /> that the proposed house will be at the required setback of 75 feet from the centerline,but at about 30 feet <br /> from the right of way of County A,and the proposed attached garage will be approximately 20 feet from <br /> the right of way,and about 65 feet from the centerline;and also nominally 5 feet from the side lot lime. <br /> Using these dimensions will assure that the most conservative numbers are used on your application,rather <br /> than a setback distance that may prove to be inaccurate. I am enclosing a copy of my sketch from my on- <br /> site.I derived the lot dimensions from the County's tax parcel map. You may want to use it to sketch the <br /> existing buildings on to the site plan.
