BURNETT COUNTY
LAND & WATER CONSERVATION DEPARTMENT
7410 County Road K,#109
Siren,WI 54872
Telephone:(715)349-2186 Fax: (715)349-2102
TO: Zoning Department
FROM: Dave Ferris, County Conserva ' t
DATE: November 4, 2002
RE: Kropp—Lot 2 CSM, 3250 on Yellow Lake
I have reviewed the site for the buffer requirements of a gazebo installation closer than 75' to the
OHWM. This site has a buffer that is acceptable for this requirement.
Any stairs at this site must be above ground to protect and allow vegetation to grow. The stairs
should be a minimum of 18" above ground. Any building or excavation on this site if closer than
20' to the start of the slope toward the lake needs to have a very stringent erosion control plan as
this site is very vulnerable to erosion and slumping to and in the lake. Any disturbance of the
slope will lead to serious consequences for the property owner. Hard surface runoff post
construction also needs to be addressed so that any runoff is directed away from the lake to avoid
any future erosion problems.
