attached Exhibit 1 document shows field notes and benchmark information from the
County/WDNR elevation transfer.
• The available lake floodwater storage capacity will be considered as the normal lake r
surface area projected vertically (linear stage-storage relatlonshlp} which
conservatively does not account for Rood water storage in areas on the landward
side of the water line.
Watershed Area—T000aranhv ;
The watershed arm was determined using ArcMap and the USGS quadrangle mapping.
The area contributing surface water runoff was determined to be 1160 acres. The attached
Exhibit 2 document shows the watershed area.
Watershed Anna—Land Use
Land uses within the watershed were determined by using aerial photography(Year 2008
NAiP). The following assumptions regarding land use were made:
• The lake area as it appears on the aerial photo and the DNR take Survey map Is
considered to be the base lake area. A large area on the northern end of the lake
and a small area at the far southwest comer of the lake appear as water on the
USGS map, but as open wetlands on both the aerial photo and the DNR Lake 3
Survey Map. For this reason these areas are considered to be wetland—see next I}
bullet point.
• Areas appearing as open space on the aerial photo and marked with marshsymbols
on the USGS quadrangle map were considered wetlands.
• Other small scattered areas of open space that do'not appear as marsh on the €
USGS quadrangle have not been explicitly delineated,and are assumed to'make'UP
2%of the tial watershed.
• Based on the aerial photo approximately.756?o of the lake shoreline has beam
-developed. Development consists of medium-density lot development
(approximately 30%impervious)on wooded lots,extending from the shoreline to a
distance 250' back han'the shoreline.
• Ali other areas are heavily wooded.
Land use areas are presented In the following table.
