The owner of a POWTS shall be responsible for ensuring that the operation and <br /> maintenance of the POWTS occurs in accordance with this chapter and the approved management plan under s. <br /> Comm 83.54(1). <br /> • Comm 83.52(2) A POWTS that is not maintained in accordance with the approved management plan or as <br /> required under s. Comm 83.54(4)shall be considered a human health hazard. <br /> • Comm 83.52(3) The activities relating to evaluation and monitoring mechanical POWTS components after the <br /> initial installation of the POWTS in accordance with an approved management plan shall be conducted by a <br /> person who holds a registration issued by the department as a registered POWTS maintainer. <br /> • The current owner,and each subsequent owner,shall receive a copy of this letter including instructions relating <br /> to proper use and maintenance of the system.
