August 25, 2010
Mr. Craig Conroy
Assistant Zoning Administrator
Burnett County Zoning Administration
Burnett County Government Center
7410 County Road K, #102
Siren, WI 54872
RE: Land US Permit Application for stairway at 27561 Thompson Bay Road—Response
to July 12, 2010 letter
Dear Mr. Conroy:
This is in response to your letter dated July 12, 2010. In that letter you outlined a choice
of proceeding with a new stairway or continuing to use/improve the current staircase for
access to the lake.
At this point we determined that utilizing the current staircase without modification is our
most feasible option.
We are in process of returning the excavated area to it original state and removing the fill
placed along the shoreline rip rap, as you indicated "to the best of our ability".
We will re-establish ground cover in the exposed soil areas within the shoreline
vegetation protection are. hi addition, we have also enhanced the ground cover in the
areas outside the exposed areas to enhance the overall shoreline vegetation.
The work is currently underway. We will notify you when the work is complete. As
indicated in your letter, please return our Land Use Permit Application.
If you have any questions or require additional information, please contact us at
847-922-5571.
Thank you for your help in this matter.
Mic ael and Kristi Butkus
