Mesabi Avenue
North St. Paul, MN 55109
Dear Ms. Skeie:
A buffer restoration plan for your property at 1198 Roberts Road is enclosed. Because
much of the natural vegetation has been retained, the restoration requirements are
minimal. You have done a nice job keeping the lakeshore natural.
Please review the restoration plan carefully. Modifications are possible within the buffer
restoration requirements. Before a land use permit can be issued, the enclosed agreement
must be registered. It specifies that your shoreline will be maintained according to this
restoration plan. Once the agreement is registered with the Burnett County Register of
Deed's office and returned to the Land and Water Conservation Department, a land use
permit can be issued by the Zoning Office. Plantings should be completed by July 15,
2000. The Register of Deed's address is the same as above, except that the room is #103.
The telephone number is 715-349-2183.
After the buffer is established, you are eligible to register an additional covenant that will
qualify you to receive an enrollment payment and annual tax credit through the Burnett
County Shoreline Incentives Program. A brochure is enclosed that provides more
information about this program.
If you have concerns or questions about the restoration plan, please call me at 715-268-
4666 or Dave Ferris at 715-349-2186.
Sincerely,
Cheryl Bursik
Consultant to Burnett County
cc: Dave Ferris, County Conservationist
1: March 22,2000
