Matthew and Jennifer Hill
30764 State Road 35/77
Danbury, WI 54830
September 18, 2012
Burnett County Zoning Administration
Zoning Committee
7410 County Road K, 4102
Siren, WI 54872
To Whom It May Concern:
We are applying for a conditional use permit at our personal residence for keeping livestock on
our property. We would like to be able to keep two horses on our land in a residential area for
recreational use. I understand that our lot is not very big and does not typically warrant the use
of livestock. We do have the facilities on our property to keep two horses. We have a shelter
that will hold both of the horses. The horses will also be fenced in an area surrounding that
shelter(with a future expansion of the electric fence to the back of the property also).
During the spring, summer, and fall the horses will graze and be fed grain/oats with hay to
supplement. During the winter they will be fed hay and grain/oats. Their manure will be
composted and used with our gardens and our families' gardens. Our parents own the 10 acres
directly south of the property owned by the St Croix Tribe. We are in the process of cutting
trails on that property, and it will be an excellent path to use for exercising the horses.
We have already discussed our plans with the owner of the Trailside Motel and the St. Croix
Housing Authority. They do not mind us having horses.
Again, we understand that our property will not provide a lot of space for the horses, but the
horses will have regular exercise, be offered alternative grazing areas in our yard, they will be
given hay as needed, and they will be fed grain/oats twice a day yearly. The horses will be given
love and attention, which is what they need right now. Both horses need to find new a home and
I hope that we will be able to offer that to them. Thank you for your consideration in this matter.
Sincerely, Q
v
Matthew and Jennifer Hill
Enclosures
