Reasons for Filing for Variance:
We purchased our lakehome 15 years ago at the present location and it had
stood there for approximately 15 years prior. One of the main reasons we
purchased it was because of its close proximity to the lake. This is also a
good selling point for us, should we decide to sell. It is part of the charm
of our lakehome. It would decrease the value of our home if it had to move
back.
We feel that we are being penalized should we have to move further away
from the lake. We are under much hardship as it is due to the trauma of
the sudden fire which took our lovely lakehome away.
There will need to be excavation and probable disturbance caused to the
lake if we have to move further away from the lake.
There will be much added cost for fill and excavation rather than building
on the present location.
We plan to side with a neutral color so to blend in with the surroundings.
