All board members were present. The pledge <br /> and a prayer were said. <br /> Jeff Emerson was present to speak to the town about deeding back the old part of hwy 35 when it was <br /> reconstructed. He outline the procedure and steps that would need to take place. A Jurisdiction agreement <br /> would need to be signed first. Then the land would be deeded to the township to deed to the landowners. <br /> Mr. Emerson had all the deeds prepared and presented them to the town board. Jason Towne is the Burnett <br /> County Surveyor, who has agreed to read over the deeds to assure the descriptions are correct and match <br /> with the descriptions being conveyed to the township, leaving no gaps or overlaps etc. Any errors or <br /> corrections Mr. Towne finds, he may contact Mr. Emerson directly, notifying the town of all corrections <br /> requested. If the jurisdiction agreement is signed tonight, and the county surveyor can get any corrections to <br /> Mr. Emerson, Mr. Emerson would like to be on the agenda for February to have the quit claim deeds signed. <br /> After that, the township can take the quit claim deeds to the landowners to a notary to sign, and then Mr. <br /> Emerson will file them. <br /> Jack Witzany moved to sign the Jurisdiction agreement to begin the process. Thetorr Berard saw na problem w€th <br /> her request, so they may sell the property back to the family; <br /> There has been some issues with the public camping on township boat-landings, in particular,the one at Ike <br /> Waltons. The police were called out along with chairman Wayne Larrabee. No one was clear if there are <br /> regulations prohibiting camping on public lands or not. No law enforcement was taken at that time. The <br /> board wishes to invite the county recreational officer to our board meeting in February to discuss how the <br /> county would handle this situation. Tabled. <br /> The minutes from December were read. Question was raised as to the per ton weight limit was to be 4-5 tons <br /> per axle or 4.5. There are still questions on how the townships will handle road restrictions. Minutes were left <br /> as is. Jack moved to approve the minutes as read, Ed Peterson seconded them motion. Carried. <br /> The county sent letter stating there was an illegal tax on a parcel belonging to Northwest Electric Inc. That <br /> property was miss coded and taxed, but should have been tax exempt. The county is requesting that the <br /> township pay the taxes of$23.06 to make this correction. Ed moved to approve the payment of$23.06 to the <br /> county for this illegal taxation. Jack seconded the motion, carried. <br /> 1 <br />
