We have a few issues with setbacks that are <br />not being met. <br />1. The setback to a private road that serves additional parties is 40 feet to the center as it <br />is laid out. The distance this pole barn has been proposed is about 13-14 feet. <br />2. The setback to a wetland is required to be no less than 40 feet. It would appear that the <br />structure is quite near a wetland that has been defined by the WI DNR. Some of the fill <br />may actually be within the wetland itself. With the snow present, I can only approximate <br />that the distance that has been proposed is only about 12-15 feet at best. <br />3. Lastly, in the future, please use the current year's application form when applying to <br />build. <br />I would recommend getting a survey done to try to see if there is any buildable area here that <br />meets setbacks. If not, you can always apply for a variance after a survey has been conducted of <br />the site. There is no guarantee in a variance application, but it may be the only option to build <br />in this location. <br />If you have questions feel free to contact our department at any time.
