U.S. <br />Army Corps of Engineers wetland permits are required for discharges to federal <br />wetlands. <br />PROJECT DESCRIPTION AND LOCATION: WDNR-GP2-2017 applies to a discharge <br />to a wetland that is necessary for the construction, reconstruction, or maintenance of a <br />highway, bridge, arch or culvert that is part of a transportation project that is being <br />carried out under the direction and supervision of a city, town, village or county, and/or; <br />construction, reconstruction, or maintenance of a highway, bridge, arch or culvert in, on, <br />or over navigable waters, that is part of a transportation project carried out under the <br />direction and supervision of a city, town, village or county. <br />GENERAL PERMIT COVERAGE: Unless notified by the department to the contrary, <br />the effective date of coverage under this general permit is 30 calendar days after a <br />complete application package has been received by the Department at the office <br />designated in the permit application materials provided by the department. WDNR- <br />GP2-2017 permit coverage is valid for 5 years after the date on which the discharge is <br />considered to be authorized or until the discharge has been completed, whichever <br />occurs first.
