Date: 2 February 1979 <br />NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR PERMIT <br />After -the -Fact <br />to Mr. Anthony Lamont proposes to retain fill material which has been <br />placed in 1.9 acres of a leatherleaf tamarack bog (Type 8 wetland) adjacent <br />to Nicaboyne Lake. The project site is in the SW SW of Government Lot No. <br />1 of sec. 35, T. 41 N., R. 14 W., near Webb Lake, Burnett County, Wisconsin. <br />The applicant indicates the area was filled so that it could be sold and <br />developed as a homesite. The project area is part of a 5.5 -acre Type 8 <br />wetland. The 1.9 -acre site was filled with sand and is bounded by 3 to 4 <br />acres of similar wetland habitat on the North, Nicaboyne Lake on the east, <br />an area of upland tree species on the west, and a lakeshore home on the <br />south. <br />2. The above proposal requires the issuance of an individual Department <br />of the Army permit under the authority of Section 404 of the Clean Water <br />Act of 1977. Therefore, the evaluation of the impact of the activity on <br />the public interest will include the application of the guidelines promul- <br />gated by the Administrator, EPA, under the authority of Section 404(b) <br />of the Clean Water Act of 1977. <br />3.
