BURNETT COUNTY
LAND & WATER CONSERVATION DEPARTMENT
November 8, 2013
Carole Olson
7410 County Road K, #109
Siren, WI 54872
Telephone: (715) 349-2186 Fax: (715) 349-2102
LWCD@burnettcounty.org
801 Oak Blvd.
Wildwood, FL 34785-8515
Dear Carole:
This letter is to follow-up on your telephone conversation of October 1 with Dave Ferris, County
Conservationist. In that conversation you agreed to not mow the vegetation protection area or
buffer zone on your property at 27422 Pepin Road.
I am writing to let you know that I marked the inland extent of the buffer zone with blue flags on
a visit October 11, 2013. Areas in front of these flags (toward the lake) must not be mowed (with
the exception of the allowed 30 foot wide viewing and access corridor). A flag was also placed at
either extent of this corridor.
Please let me know if you have any questions. You may reach me directly by calling 715-268-
9992 or emailing harmonyenvAamerytel.net. I am also enclosing a diagram which illustrates the
extent of the no -mow zone with X's.
We will recommend that the court date be postponed so that the no mow area can be verified in
June of next year. This no -mow area must be maintained to establish and maintain the vegetation
protection and area. The requirement remains in place with any subsequent landowners.
Sincerely,
Cheryl Clemens
Shoreline Restoration Consultant
