BURNETT COUNTY ZONING ADMINISTRATION
BURNETT COUNTY GOVERNMENT CENTER
7410 COUNTY ROAD K, #102
SIREN, WISCONSIN 54872
August 26, 2005
Doris Matoush
2014 SE Harlow Street
Port St Lucie, FL 34952
Dear Ms. Matoush:
PHONE (715) 349-2138
As part of the conditions of your permit a shoreline buffer restoration plan was required. This
plan was put together by the Burnett County Land and Water Conservation Department.
An inspection of this buffer restoration was conducted on 8-17-05. This inspection found the
restoration plan only partially completed. See inspection comments below:
Tree Branches were partially cleaned up following initial site visit 7-18-05.
Remaining restoration required by June 30, 2006
Replant two trees — one on neighbor's property to his satisfaction and a second toward the
west lot line. These trees must be at least three feet high and one inch in diameter. Remove
branches behind the buffer zone. Branches must be moved at least behind the pathway/top
of the stairs at the east end of the property.
The most critical aspect of the restoration is to allow vegetation to grow in all but a
designated 30 -foot view corridor around the stairway. On-going trimming of trees, shrubs,
and groundcover outside this area is not permitted and will be a violation of the shoreland
land use ordinance. If remaining branches at shoreline do not allow growth of shrubs and
groundcovers next year, they must be removed.
This restoration is not only a required part of your permit, but it also is extremely important to the
water quality and natural scenic beauty of our water bodies.
Please contact the Land and Water Conservation office at 349-2186 to resolve any concerns
regarding this restoration plan.
Sincerely,
Jim Flanigan
Zoning Administrator
JF: sm
cc: Land and Water Conservation Department
