A viewing/access corridor up to 35 feet wide for every 100 feet of shoreline may <br /> cross both zones perpendicular to the shore. Vegetation removal,cutting,trimming and land disturbing <br /> activities are prohibited in the no-touch zone. Limited pruning and mowing are allowed in the <br /> viewinglaccess corridor and the minimum maintenance zone. Walkways, pathways and stairs must be <br /> located in the viewing/access corridor; piers, wharfs and lifts must be placed in the water immediately in front <br /> of the corridor. <br /> The no-touch zone must be established and maintained from the ordinary high water mark and extend inland 35 <br /> feet. The remaining buffer area, extending back to 50 feet and the 35 foot viewing corridor must be vegetated <br /> but can be mowed, lawn type grasses. <br /> Viewin2/Access Corridor <br /> You are allowed two viewing and access corridors, each no more than 70 feet wide. The viewing corridor and <br /> minimum maintenance area (from 35 to 50 feet from the ordinary high water mark) must be vegetated to <br /> prevent erosion. You can maintain lawn grasses in these areas. <br /> No Touch, Natural Vegetation Zone <br /> Plant native shrubs and trees. Instructions for planting are found in the landowner guide. Plan to water <br /> regularly the first year to ensure plant survival. Allow existing vegetation to grow with no mowing or <br /> trimming. <br /> ******* VEGETATION NATIVE TO BURNETT COUNTY IS REQUIRED ******* <br /> The landowner guide includes appropriate plant lists and a list of businesses that provide native plants. These <br /> plants are suited to the conditions of the property and will provide food and habitat for birds and animals around <br /> the lake. Non-native vegetation planted in this zone will be required to be removed and replaced with <br /> native vegetation. <br />
