BURNETT COUNTY ZONING ADMINISTRATION <br /> BURNETT COUNTY GOVERNMENT CENTER <br /> 7410 COUNTY ROAD K,#102 PHONE(715)349-2138 <br /> SIREN,WISCONSIN 54872 <br /> August 24, 2011 <br /> Kay Kramer <br /> 4141 York Ave. S. <br /> Minneapolis, MN 55410 <br /> Dear Ms. Kramer: <br /> I received your land use permit application for additions to your dwelling at <br /> 28211 Ellis Drive. <br /> In reviewing the application I noted that the structure is nonconforming to the <br /> required 75-foot setback from the ordinary high water mark(OHWM). Because <br /> the dwelling is less than 75 feet but greater than 40 feet, additions are only <br /> allowed to the landward fagade (opposite of the lake side)., with an exception for <br /> a one-time addition of no greater than 144 sq. ft. to the side and no closer the <br /> OHWM of the lake. The maximum square footage of the dwelling cannot exceed <br /> 1500 sq. ft. and a shoreline buffer restoration would be required. <br /> In reviewing your proposal it shows you are requesting additions to both sides of <br /> the dwelling and in excess of 144 sq. ft. Because this request does not meet <br /> ordinance restrictions, a permit cannot be issued.
