This is mandated by WI
Administrative Code and Burnett County Sanitary Ordinance.
Until a conditional use permit has been issued and a code compliant septic system has been
installed, the camper is strictly off limits for use. The illegal subsurface holding tank you have
installed for containment of sewage coming from the camper was not permitted and was not
installed by a WI licensed plumber. Therefore the storage tank you installed must be properly
abandoned by June 1, 2014, following the guidelines of WI Administrative Code SIPS 383.33
regardless if you successfully secure a conditional use permit.
I have also enclosed a copy of the same evaluation process used by the Zoning Committee
when making decisions on whether to grant conditional use permits. I think that you may want
to consider these criteria closely when filling out the application, because these are the criteria
that will be used to determine whether your use is approved.
If you have any further questions, feel free to call me. Office hours are Monday through Friday
from 8:30-4:30.
Thanks,
Craig Dantoin
Burnett County Zoning & POWTS Specialist
