One of the <br />drywells is approximately the same elevation as the ordinary high water mark of Benoit Lake <br />and the other is 7 inches above. <br />Septic systems with in -ground dispersal components installed prior to December 1, 1969 <br />(such as yours) are required to have 2 feet of separation from groundwater. If sewage is being <br />discharged with less suitable soil below, it is not being properly treated before re-entering <br />groundwater/drinking water. <br />Therefore, you are hereby ordered to replace your failing private onsite wastewater treatment <br />system. Contact me immediately to establish a timeline for replacement.
