DNR has no documentation that this is a State owned parcel. If it were, it would still not be legal for anyone to
place a private pier and/or moor a watercraft.
I did send a letter to you last week, regarding removal if there is no documented private ownership giving you
permission to place a pier.
Please keep us updated with your findings.
Regards, Dan
Thank you for the information.
We are committed to service excellence.
Visit our survey at http://dnr.wi.gov/customersurvey to evaluate how I did.
Dan Harrington
Phone:(715) 733-0019
Dan.Harringtonc@wisconsin.gov
From: Milltown Dock <milltowndock@lakeland.ws>
Sent: Tuesday, July 2, 2019 12:18 PM
To: Harrington, Dan - DNR <Dan.Harrington @wisconsin.gov>
Subject: Re: Minerva Dock/pontoon
Hi Dan,
My sister, and co-owner, of the property just left the county board meeting in Burnett County. Shortly after
we last spoke, Jason at the zoning office told us the Minerva property was owned by the township. We
proceeded to get permission from the township to have our dock there. Jason was at the meeting today and
said after further review the township never completed the paperwork so its an "unclaimed" piece of
land. We have also been told its been documented through the DNR as a public landing. It seems the bottom
line is, nobody knows. We are calling Jason this afternoon to ask for a private meeting to get his thoughts on
7
