Notice of Pending Application for Proposed Miscellaneous structure <br /> Gary Kibort, 7260 Mickey Smith Parkway, Webster, WI 54893 has applied to the Department of Natural <br /> Resources for a permit to place a structure on the bed of Devils Lake. <br /> The project is located in the SW1/4 of the SE1/4 of Section 33, Township 40 North, Range 16 West, Town of <br /> Oakland, Burnett County. <br /> Herzl Camp is a non-profit summer camp for 700+ campers from across the US and beyond. A traditional <br /> overnight summer camp, Herzl offers both land and aquatic activities. Over the past 5 years, Herzl Camp has <br /> needed to invest money into fixing and replacing docks and boardwalks as a result of ice damage. The water <br /> levels have continued to rise and due to the direction of the ice heave at the end of winter, the shoreline and <br /> docks have continued to take damage. This past year, Herzl replaced waterfront amenities with newer docks, <br /> shore protection, boardwalks, etc. The camp is applying for a Miscellaneous Structure Permit to install an <br /> aeration system to help alleviate ice damage to these new shoreline structures. <br /> The Department will review the proposal provided by the applicant and any information from public comments <br /> and a public informational hearing, if requested. The Department will determine whether the proposal complies <br /> with ss. 1.11 and 30.12(3m), Stats., and ch. NR 150, Wis. Adm.
