Burnett County Zoning Administration
BURNETT COUNTY GOVERNMENT CENTER
7410 County Road K, #102 Phone (715) 349-2138
Siren, Wisconsin 54872
June 9, 1995
TO: Campground Owners of Burnett County
The Burnett County Land Use/Zoning Ordinance has required permits for structures
in all shoreland areas since its adoption over 20 years ago.
This would include decks, porches, sheds, etc. The setback requirements of 75
feet from the ordinary high water mark of navigable water also applies to all
structures.
The Burnett County Land Use/Zoning Ordinance section pertaining to campgrounds
has recently been amended. The amendments include specifics on the type and
size of accessory structures permitted in a campground (see enclosed campground
section).
All structures at a campground will need to meet the requirements of this
ordinance and require permits. Any structures previously built and having a
permit on record meeting all setback requirements will be grandfathered.
Please contact me if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
,vet
Jim Flanigan
Zoning Administrator
JF:sm
Enc.
