P g ?'s It
P. 0. Box 458
Clear Lake, SD 57226
June 16., 1980
Mr. William L. Sachleben Administrator
Burnett County Zining Administration
Burnett County Office Building
Webster, Ya 54893
Dear Mr. Sachleben:
Responding to your letter of June 13 -uhich appears to cite us for viola-
tion of certain State and County codes and which quotes a portion of
771isconsin Administrative Code H62.20, please be advised that we will
take corrective action as outlined herein.
We will be visiting our Lot 15, Trout Spring Addition, in Voyager Vil-
lage, with our travel trailer for a 10-day period starting June 19 or
20. To comply as far as possible with your requirements, we will re-
move the perforated tank installed there (last fall) and fill in both
that excavation and the one we previously used (the tank has never been
used, as yet; the previous excavation was used). Inasmuch as we are not
• property owner that can afford everything, we will temporarily follow
• practice of draining our trailer holding tanks into a "honey cart"
daily and haul our waste in that to the sanitary disposal station at the
public campground. We trust that this will suffice to your requirements.
Incidentally, is it legal for you to enter on our property for inspec-
tion without permission? I trust that it is and that you were not in
trespass. As a further point, 1 see nothing in the Voyager Village
"covenants" or "by-laws" that permit members of the A & E Committee of
the Property Owners' Association to enter upon and inspect the privately-
owned lots. I believe we should have been asked first,, and you can be
assured that permission would have been given had it been requested.
Be that as it may, we will comply with your request as described above.
Relating to this, I should like to point out that I -wrote to a 111r. Carl J.
Lippert on March 22, 1980 and in my letter argued that, in the sandy soil
of Voyager Village, wastes readily percolate and purify and would not be
danger&us beyond 50 feet from the point of disposal, and asked (1) what
need be done to become "o'herwise specifically exempted" from the code
u requirement and (2) if he had available and could -furnish plans and
specifications for a not too expensive and simple septic system that i
could install and that would be suitable to the !Lmited requirements of
a travel trailer. So far, I have not had the courtesy of a reply. Per-
haps you would be good enough to do so?
69(4 -Sincerely yours
Andrew J.
II cc: Mr. Richard HcLuenj Voyager Village A&E Commi
16e, PO4.
