Towne, Jason
From: Cook, Paul
Sent: Wednesday, March 25, 2015 7:32 AM
To: 'msettimi@gmail.com'
Cc: Towne, Jason; Lane, Ann
Subject: Burnett County Shoreland Zoning Violation - Sand Lake Shores - Big Sand Lake
Mr. Settimi:
As we discussed recently on the phone, you can simply replant 4 trees in place of the ones you cut. Based on our
conversation it's acceptable to plant 4 Red Maple trees or other native trees of your choosing, that you can transplant
from your back lot.
Please keep the following things in mind:
1) Do not harvest tree transplants closer than 50 feet from the lake.
2) The best time to transplant is right after the ground thaws and before trees begin to bud out, approximately
April-May.
3) You are only allowed to mow and clear within your viewing and access corridor—a 30 foot wide area
perpendicular to the Ordinary High Water Mark. The remainder of your lakeshore lot should be left untouched
from the Ordinary High Water Mark back to 35 feet.
If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to email me or call at 715-349-2186, cell 715-497-6755.
Thanks,
Paul Cook
Burnett County LWCD
x
