SEAL op
;,**
WCBurnett County Zoning Administration
Burnett County Government Center
7410 COUNTY ROAD K,#102
OQ --' SIREN,WISCONSIN 54872
PHONE(715)349-2138
June 3, 2020
Anthony Dohrer
113 County RD JJ
River Falls, WI 54022
Dear Mr. Dohrer,
We received your letter on May 26, 2020. You asked that we respond to some questions.
1- If the entire shed structure is less than 100 sq ft then no land use permit is required.
2- Please contact Curtis Septic so they can get the service date entered into our system.
The last service entered into our system is for 2014, which is why it appears to be due.
The septic provider needs to file the report online through their secure login.
3- The County Board has regulated camping units for decades, this is not new regulations.
As for why they regulate campers they generally state the following reasons:
a. Camping units can look unsightly in some cases or easily become neglected.
b. Camping units have a documented pattern of not handling their waste water
(grey and black) appropriately.
c. Citizens regularly complain that they don't want to live next to camping units.
d. Camping units don't pay equivalent property taxes compared to
cabins/dwellings, yet they typically use the same services.
I apologize if you are frustrated with this situation. We are trying to do our job as described in
the county ordinances. I suggest you contact the county board supervisors to voice your
disagreement with the ordinance.
Sincerely,
Jason Towne
Burnett County Zoning Administrator
