Included is a <br /> current picture of the structure referenced in this letter along with a picture from 2016. <br /> There are potentially three options to move forward: <br /> 1- Apply for an after-the fact permit by September 1, 2020 (as long as the expansion does <br /> not exceed 25% of the building envelope which existed prior to the construction taking <br /> place). After-the-fact permits are three times the regular fee, so in this case it would <br /> be $450. <br /> 2- Remove the structure from its current location and place in a conforming location. A <br /> land use permit will be required prior to the structure being moved. Submit a land use <br /> permit by September 1, 2020. This would be considered a regular fee since the structure <br /> would be moving to a compliant location, $150. <br /> 3- If more than 25% expansion of the envelope has taken place, then you would need to <br /> apply for a variance to leave the structure in its current location. I don't believe a <br /> variance would be approved, however you do have the option to apply. Variance <br /> application can be found on our website. Submit the variance application by October 1, <br /> 2020 if this is the option you wish to pursue. <br /> If you have questions, please feel free to contact our department at any time.
