• <br /> IceOut LLC <br /> 28920 Long Lake Road <br /> Danbury WI 54830 <br /> October 2, 2020 <br /> Burnett County Land Use Committee <br /> Burnett County Government Center <br /> 7410 County Road K <br /> Siren, WI 54872 <br /> Dear Burnett County Land Use Committee, <br /> This letter will apply to the "Application/Petition For Rezone" and the "Conditional Use Permit <br /> Application"that are attached. <br /> We are requesting the following consideration as written below. <br /> ZONING and Conditional Use Permit(CUP) Request <br /> IceOut LLC is a company located in Scott Township at 28920 Long Lake Road, Danbury, WI 54830. <br /> Owners of IceOut LLC are Steve Johnson and Chad Miller. The current zoning for this property is <br /> RR3. We would like to change the zoning to C 1 Commercial. This zoning change will allow outside <br /> storage that RR3 zoning does not allow. <br /> We also want to change the building plans(number/size/height/individual units/location/orientation) <br /> from the CUP granted to the previous owner, Jan Berghoff in October 2019. We talked with Jason <br /> Towne(zoning administrator) from Burnett County on what our plans were. He indicate that we would <br /> need to apply for a new CUP due to the building location changes. <br /> After talking to Jason Towne we found out it that it is a good practice to get the approval of Scott <br /> Township before going before the Land Use Committee as the committee takes the townships opinion <br /> in high regard. <br /> We went before the Scott Townships board on September 14, 2020 and presented our request. The <br /> town board unanimously approved our Zoning and Conditional Use Permit(CUP) Request. We <br /> requested a letter from them to show approval, but Jeff Mclntyre(Town Chairman) said that he would <br /> attend the meeting and attest to the Town Boards approval. <br /> History - <br /> This property was previously owned for decades by Steve Nemeth who owned/operated a sawmill on <br /> this property for a period of time. This property contained two buildings. The first building was for the <br /> sawmill operation and the second building was for storing/drying lumber. Steve sold this property to <br /> Jan Berghoff around October of 2019. Jan Berghoff applied for a conditional use permit from Burnett <br /> County on September 30, 2019. Jan Berghoffs plan was to build self-storage units on this property <br /> and possibly build a cabin. Jan Berghoff sold this property to IceOut LLC in April, 2020. The first <br /> building was partially demolished by Jan Berghoff in the Fall of 2019. After purchasing this property <br /> in April 2020,we finished removing the building in the Spring of 2020. <br />
