e
•
Flanigan and the Committee went over the violations they noted at West Point
Campground on their 9/20/96 onsite visit:
1. Camping unit setbacks from the lake - some are less than 75 feet
from the 0.H.W.M. of McKenzie Lake.
2. Mobile homes parked without obtaining proper permits.
3. Too many camping units - more than the 20 units allowed (as per
testimony and pictures) .
4. Additions and structures added to camping units without permits.
5. The location of the proposed new campsites are located in a
non-permitted wetland fill.
6. Scott Township requests that Mr. Petersen submit a complete and
accurate plot plan showing sizes and placement of each campsite,
sewer connections and drainfields. Also, parking spaces should
be indicated and indicate if roads are-serviceable for emergency
vehicles.
For clarification, a motion was made again by Bohn to DENY Conditional Permit
#1072 for the reasons stated above. Motion seconded by Poretti. When Mr.
Petersen's is in compliance and submits an accurate plot plan, he may than
reapply for a conditional permit. Motion carried.
