It appears that you may be renting your property on a short-term basis. <br /> This was an issue in June 2016 and you were warned not to rent your property without proper license. <br /> Under Section 30-455 of the Burnett County Code of Ordinances "Any person who maintains, manages, <br /> or operates a short-term rental, as defined in Wis. Stats. 66.0615(1)(dk),for more than ten nights each <br /> year shall obtain a Short-Term Rental license from the county."Based on the advertisement on VRBO, <br /> you must stop renting your property or fill out the attached Short-Term Rental License by February 1, <br /> 2022. <br /> You will need a state license number for the Short-Term Rental License through the Department of <br /> Agriculture,Trade and Consumer Protection. Under Chapter 97.605 of DATCP (1)(a) "No person may <br /> conduct, maintain, manage or operate a hotel,tourist rooming house,vending machine commissary <br /> or vending machine if the person has not been issued an annual license by the department or by a <br /> local health department that is granted agent status under s.97.615 (2)."You may contact DATCP by <br /> sending an e-mail to datcpdfslicensing@wisconsin.gov or by calling 608/224-4923. <br /> Also,your advertisement on VRBO states that your dwelling sleeps 5 people. Based on your sanitary <br /> permit,your septic system is only allowed up to 4 people. Occupying this amount of people on this <br /> dwelling will cause your septic system to fail. If you wish to occupy more people that what is rated for <br /> your sanitary permit,you will need to update your septic system. <br /> If you have questions,feel free to contact our department.
